Kitex Garments profit rise 16% for FY19

Kochi: Kitex Garments has recorded 16 % rise in net profit year-on-year at Rs 81.45 crore for 2018-19. The revenue rose 12 % to Rs 629.26 crore for the year.

The consolidated revenue of the group including Kitex Children’s Wear Ltd. touched Rs 1005 crore for the year, thus crossing the Rs 1000 crore mark for the first time. The total revenue of Kitex Childrens Wear Ltd. was Rs 375 crore.

"By 2025, our target is to attain a total revenue of Rs 2165 crore from Kitex Garments Ltd. and Rs 1000 crore from Kitex Childrens Wear,’’ said Sabu M Jacob, MD and CEO of Kitex.


Kitex is a leading supplier of infant wear to the big global and retail brands with 90% of the export going to the US and the rest to the European countries.

The company aims at increasing the manufacturing capacity from the current 6 lakh pieces a day to 22 lakh pieces at its unit near Kochi by 2025 besides launching a slew of new baby products.
