Kansai Nerolac Q4 net profit up 73.5 pc at Rs 58.9 cr

MUMBAI: Paint maker Kansai Nerolac today posted 73.5 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 58.86 crore in the quater ended March 31, as compared to the same period in the previous fiscal.

The company had a net profit of Rs 33.92 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, Kansai Nerolac said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

During the quarter, the company net sales stood at Rs 520.54 crore, up 22.8 per cent from Rs 423.77 crore recorded in the corresponding period last fiscal.

In the year ended March 31, the company's net profit rose by 24.45 per cent to Rs 205.98 crore from Rs 165.50 crore in the year-ago period. Also, the firm had net sales of Rs 2,138.73 crore against Rs 1,706.38 crore posted in the previous fiscal.

Shares of Kansai Nerolac Paints today closed 0.77 per cent at Rs 855.80 a piece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
