Net profit came in at Rs 534 crore against Rs 290 crore in the first quarter of last fiscal. Revenue from operations declines 1.7% to Rs 2879 crore against Rs 2927 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal.
JSW Energy's net generation capacity increased 18% to 7.9 billion units, driven by higher hydro and thermal generation and organic wind capacity additions.
Sharad Mahendra, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JSW Energy, said, “We experienced an eventful quarter, brimming with opportunities in our sector. We have built a robust pipeline of 5.7 GW of renewable projects.”
He added that the company is on track to achieve its 10 GW target, this marks a key milestone in our journey.
Company’s net generation for the quarter stood at 7,881 million units, a 18% YoY increase, driven by higher hydro power generation, renewable capacity additions, and Utkal Unit. The long-term sales rose 16% YoY due to increased generation from the renewable energy portfolio, while short-term sales volume grew 32% year on year in the quarter, the company said.
JSW Energy’s scrip ended at Rs 704.20, down 1.19% on the BSE, Friday.
