JM Financial Q4 net up 45.2% at Rs 40.77 cr
J M Financial said its net consolidated profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 rose to Rs 40.77 crore, up 45.2 per cent from the same period a year ago.
During January-March a year earlier, it was Rs 28.08 crore, the company said in a BSE filing. Its income in the fourth quarter grew to Rs 260.18 crore, up 34.3 per cent from a year ago. A year ago, it was Rs 193.72 crore.
The net profit after tax for full year 2011-12 (April-March) stood at 121.17 crore compared with Rs 174.56 crore a year ago. Total income was Rs 873.97 crore versus Rs 895.92 crore.
"The Indian capital market continues to face headwinds in the form of macro-economic concerns and global pressures, which impacted investor sentiment thereby adversely affecting out financial performance," company's Chairman Nimesh Kampani, said in a statement.
