Jindal Saw September quarter net profit down by 64 pc
Leading pipe maker Jindal Saw today reported 64 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 21.96 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

The company's net profit was at Rs 61.11 crore in corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Total income from operations also declined to Rs 1,229.39 crore during the quarter, from Rs 1,636.93 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, it added.
Total expenses were down at Rs 1,132.45 crore, compared to Rs 1,480.64 crore in the corresponding period of the last financial year.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 47.85 apiece on the BSE, up 0.84 per cent from the previous close.
Jindal Saw is part of the $18 billion O P Jindal Group. It manufactures large diameter submerged arc pipes and spiral pipes for the energy transportation sector, among other products.
