NEW DELHI: Jaiprakash Power Ventures today posted nearly two-fold jump in net profit at Rs 182.96 crore in three months ended June, on the back of higher revenues.
In the year-ago period, the company had a net profit of Rs 69.56 crore.
According to a regulatory filing, Jaiprakash Power Ventures said its total income from operations soared to Rs 545.35 crore in the latest June quarter. The same stood at Rs 275.32 crore in the same period a year ago.
The company has an operating hydro capacity of 1,700 MW. About 2,570 MW thermal generating capacity is being implemented.
"Besides, the company through its subsidiaries and associates is implementing power projects with an aggregate capacity 9,200 MW (3,920 MW hydro and 5,280 MW thermal)," the filing added.
