ITDC posts net loss of Rs 11.61 cr

NEW DELHI: India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) today posted a net loss of Rs 11.61 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had registered a net loss of Rs 11.69 crore during the three month period ended September 30, 2009.

ITDC's net sales grew 15.69 per cent at Rs 65.16 crore for the second quarter this fiscal. It had registered net sales of Rs 56.32 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company's hotel division contributed Rs 44.80 crore to the net sales during the quarter, while travel and tourism division did sales of Rs 17.82 crore.

ITDC's scrips closed at Rs 104.55 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 4.97 per cent from the previous close.
