IRCTC Q4 Results: Cons PAT rises marginally to Rs 284 crore, but revenue jumps 20% YoY

State-run Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on Tuesday reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 284 crore, up by 1.8% on a year-on-year basis from Rs 278 crore reported in the year-ago period. It was. The company also announced a final dividend of Rs 4 per share for the financial year 2023-24.

The consolidated revenue from operations for the reported quarter stood at Rs 1,155 crore versus 965 crore reported in the year-ago period. The revenue uptick was 19.7% on the YoY basis.

The consolidated net profit was down on a sequential basis by 5% versus Rs 300 crore reported by the company in October-December quarter. The revenue on the other hand was higher by 3.2% as against Rs 1,118.30 crore reported in Q3FY24.


The expenses during the quarter stood at Rs 813 crore which was up on a YoY and quarter-on-quarter basis. In the year ago period, IRCTC incurred total expenses at Rs 655.52 crore while in the October-December quarter the expenses stood at Rs 743 crore.

a) Catering: Rs 531 crore in Q4FY24 versus Rs 508 crore in Q3FY24 and Rs 396 crore in Q4FY23.
b) Rail Neer: Rs 83 crore in Q4FY24 versus Rs 84 crore in Q3FY24 and Rs 73.36 crore in Q4FY23.
c) Internet Ticketing: Rs 342.41 crore in Q4FY24 versus Rs 33.53 crore in Q3FY24 and Rs 295.12 crore in Q4FY23.
d) Tourism: Rs 155 crore in Q4FY24 versus Rs 167.50 crore in Q3FY24 and Rs 138.54 crore in Q4FY23.
e) State Teertha: Rs 47 crore in Q4FY24 versus Rs 28 crore in Q3FY24 and Rs 65.44 crore in Q4FY23.
