IRB Infra eyes 92 pc revenue jump, to focus on BOT projects
Leading toll road-builder, IRB Infrastructure Developers, is eyeing a 92 per cent increase in its revenue in FY 11, a senior company official said.
"We are targeting a 92 per cent increase in our revenue from the present Rs 17,000 crore to over Rs 32,800 crore," the company's Chief Financial Officer, Anil Yadav, told PTI here.
The company operates in three verticals -- BOT projects, road construction and real estate. Of this, the company has recorded the highest growth in its profits (nearly 25 per cent) in its BOT projects segment in FY 10, Yadav said.
The company is currently working on 16 BOT projects covering 1,260 kilometres, including the Tumkur-Chitradurg project, which it bagged recently.
"With an order-book of over Rs 9,700 crore, we are very healthily placed," he said.
IRB has lined-up a Rs 2,000 crore capex this fiscal and its focus would be on its BOT segment which is also the highest revenue-contributor of the company, he said.
"We will be requiring a capex of nearly Rs 2,000 crore this fiscal for implementing all our projects. We have decided to focus on the BOT segment as it has a huge potential for growth going forward. We want to become the leader in this segment," Yadav said.
