NEW DELHI: Internet firm Info Edge today posted 24 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 31.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 but cautioned that growth could be slower in the coming months.

The group, which owns Naukri.com and other leading portals, had a profit after tax of Rs 25.61 crore in the year-ago period, Info Edge said in a statement.

Net sales of the company in the April-June quarter, 2012-13, rose to Rs 105.98 crore from Rs 86.66 crore in the same period a year ago.

"On a year on year basis, the financial results reflect the strong position in its main market... we are seeing a deceleration in the economy and recruiting activity, which will translate into slower growth in subsequent quarters," Info Edge (India) CFO and Director Ambarish Raghuvanshi said.

Among others, Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com and Shiksha.com are part of Info Edge group.

Also, Info Edge has invested in emerging Internet companies such as meritnation.com, policybazaar.com, mydala.com, 99labels.com and zomato.com.
