Info Edge posts 31% growth in Q3 PAT to Rs 28.8 crore

Internet company Info Edge (India), which runs popular job site Naukri.com, today reported a 31 per cent growth in profit after tax to Rs 28.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The entity had posted a PAT of 21.92 crore for the October-December quarter of 2010, Info Edge said in a statement.

The company's net sales stood at Rs 91.99 crore in the quarter under review, as against Rs 75.08 crore in the year-ago period.

Commenting on the earnings, Info Edge (India) CFO and Director Ambarish Raghuvanshi said, "The operating environment is uncertain, revenues and profits continue to be healthy, which is a reflection of the robust position in our major businesses. The real estate listings vertical grew appreciably in this quarter."

During the quarter, recruitment solutions revenue grew by 20.4 per cent, while the real estate vertical grew by 50 per cent.

Shares of the company were quoting at Rs 588.60 apiece in afternoon trade on the BSE, up 2.52 per cent from their previous close.
