Idea Cellular Q1 net profit seen at Rs 282 crore

MUMBAI: Idea Cellular will be announcing its quarterly results on Monday. It is expected to post a net profit of Rs 282.22 crore for the quarter ended June 2012, up 18 per cent, compared to a net profit of Rs 239 crore in the same period a year ago.

Revenues are seen at Rs 5,588.54 crore for the June 2012 quarter as against Rs 5,370 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

EBIDTA for the June 2012 quarter is seen at Rs 1,497.29 crore vs Rs 1,357 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

Factors to watch:

1) Expect total minutes to grow by 5.7 per cent, QoQ.

2) Revenue per minute to be 41p vs 42p.

3) APRUs to decline 2.5% to Rs 156 QoQ.

4) Margins to improve 152 bps largely due to absence of a one-off.

5) Expect forex loss of Rs 36 crore.
