Idea Cellular posts Q1 profit at Rs 257 crore on one-time gain of Rs 3,364 crore

Idea Cellular on Monday posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 256.50 crore for the quarter ended June 2018. It had posted a net loss of Rs 814.90 core in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 962.20 crore in the sequential quarter ended March 2018.

The telecom reported an one-time gain on sale of Idea Cellular Infra Services at Rs 3,364 crore.


Average revenue per user declined to Rs 100 from Rs 105 on a QoQ basis.

Consolidated revenue from operations declined to Rs 5,889.20 crore in Q1FY19 over Rs 8,166.50 crore in Q1FY18.
