HCG Q1 Results: Revenue jumps 26% YoY; PAT at Rs 6 crore

HealthCare Global Enterprise (HCG), speciality cancer care chain reported Rs 6 crore net profit in the first quarter of FY23 led by higher occupancy and healthy average revenue per operating bed (ARPOB)
The company posted a loss of Rs 9.6 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.

Revenues jumped 26% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 408 crore during Q1FY23, compared to Rs 323 crore.


The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and ammortization (EBITDA) rose 41% YoY to Rs 72.2 crore. The EBITDA margins improved 180 basis points YoY to 17.7%.

Overall ARPOB rose 5.9% YoY to Rs. 38,454 in Q1FY23.

Oncology segment that contributes 84% of revenue grew 34% YoY to Rs 343 crore.

HCG has a network of 22 cancer centers across India and Africa.
"We are currently working on digital transformation, cost optimization and efficiency enhancement, growth of medical value travel, and inorganic acquisitions," said Raj Gore, CEO of HCG.

"We are confident of maintaining our growth momentum going forward," Gore added.
