Hanung Toys and Textiles net Q4 down 2.9 pc at Rs 32 crore

MUMBAI: Toys and gift articles maker Hanung Toys and Textiles today posted 2.9 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 32.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011, compared to the same period previous fiscal.

The company had a net profit of Rs 33.28 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2010, Hanung Toys and Textiles said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

During the quarter under review, the company had a net sales of Rs 318.09 crore, up by 17.15 per cent from Rs 271.52 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.

For the year ended March 31, 2011, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 121.07 crore, an increase by 33.8 per cent from Rs 90.48 crore recorded in the year-ago period.

During the period, the firm's net sales stood at Rs 1,122.01 crore as against Rs 836.85 crore in the previous financial year.
