Gujarat Fluorochemicals FY-12 net profit jumps to Rs 780.02 crore

It said income from operations in diversified areas such as refrigerants, chemicals, entertainment and renewable energy rose to Rs 283.01 crore in the 2011-12 fiscal.
The company generated much of its revenue from chemicals at Rs 1,078.28 crore, followed by manufacture of wind turbine generators at Rs 23.50 crore and power at 9.46 crore.
The company posted a net loss of Rs 135.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012. It had a net profit of Rs 138.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
Total Income increased to Rs 499.8 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012, from Rs 449.81 crore in the year-ago period.
The shares of the company fell by 2.29 per cent to settle at Rs 418.90 on the BSE.
