Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals reports 5% jump in sales turnover in Q1

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd on Saturday reported sales turnover of Q1 at Rs 438.51 cr, near 5% over Q1 of last fiscal.

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd on Saturday reported sales turnover of Q1 at Rs 438.51 cr, near 5% over Q1 of last fiscal. The Board of Directors of GACL in its 329th meeting in Vadodara approved the financial results for Q1 on Saturday.

The company has achieved an improvement in the sales turnover to Rs 438.51 crore for Q1 ended June 30, as against Rs 418.05 crore in the corresponding period of previous year, a jump of 4.89%, said M S Dagur, MD of GACL in a press statement.

GACL reported 26% jump in Profit Before Tax of Q1 of 2012-13 and more than 19% jump in Profit After Tax. Dagur said GACL has bagged three projects registered with United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). GACL is pursuing few wind mill projects.
