Grasim Industries registers flat profit growth in Q4

Grasim Industries on Friday reported a flat growth of 0.79 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,063.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,055.26 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Profit before tax of the company jumped 5.60 per cent to Rs 1,492.74 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 1,413.53 crore in the same quarter last year.

For January-March period, the company reported 5.99 per cent rise in total income at Rs 11,409.41 crore against Rs 10,763.70 crore in the same period last year.

The board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.50 per share.
