Gokaldas Exports sees huge jump in revenues and profit

Our Bureau : Private equity-backed Gokaldas Exports on Friday reported a 58% jump in revenues and 280% jump in net profit, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, sustaining its growth momentum.

The Bengaluru-headquartered company reported Rs 588 crore in revenues and Rs 61 crore in net profit in the Jan-March 2022 quarter. As for the full fiscal year of 2021-22, the company recorded Rs 1801 crore in revenues and Rs 117 crore in net profit.

Gokaldas Exports managing director Siva Ganapathi said the company was currently in the growth phase of its journey and the increase in demand post-pandemic had been beneficial to the company. “Recording profits quarter-on-quarter has been a big boost to drive our vision of being a globally reputed apparel manufacturer,” he said.


“Our 'People Power' has been our biggest force that steered innovation, quality, consistency, and commitment in this financial year. As a leading manufacturer and exporter of apparel, we would continuously strive to achieve sustainable growth,” Ganapathi said.

During the year 2021-22, the company reduced its gross borrowings by Rs 302 crore to Rs. 63 crore.

The stock closed, up 13.42%, at Rs 399.70 on the NSE.
