Gokaldas Exports Q2 profit surges 410% to Rs 41 crore on favourable base, revenue up 13%
Gokaldas Exports reported a 410% year-on-year rise in Q2 FY27 net profit to Rs 41 crore, supported by growth in India and Africa operations, improved product mix and productivity gains. The company also reduced its net debt.

Net profit stood at Rs 8 crore in the year-ago period, which was impacted by US tariff-related disruptions, according to a press release.
Total income rose 13% to Rs 1,135 crore in the second quarter from Rs 1,003 crore a year earlier, while EBITDA increased 52% to Rs 127 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 11.2% from 8.3%, supported by a better product mix and productivity gains. The company said higher wages and input costs, driven by rising oil prices, partly offset the margin improvement.
Growth was driven by both its India and Africa operations. Income from the India business increased 10% year-on-year on the back of a strong order book and better execution, while the Africa business posted 32% growth, aided by higher volumes and improved realisations.
On a sequential basis, total income declined 4% from Rs 1,180 crore in the June quarter, while EBITDA fell 9% from Rs 139 crore. Net profit was marginally lower than the Rs 44 crore reported in the preceding quarter.
For the first half of FY27, total income rose 17% to Rs 2,315 crore. Income from the India business grew 13%, while the Africa business expanded 39%. EBITDA increased 32% to Rs 266 crore, and net profit rose 73% to Rs 86 crore from Rs 50 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The company also reduced net debt to Rs 429 crore as of September 2026 from Rs 553 crore at the end of March 2026.
“Better order execution in India and higher volume and realisations in Africa led to strong income growth in the quarter. Focus on productivity gains and a strong order book should help growth and margins going forward,” said Sivaramakrishnan Ganapathi, vice chairman and managing director of Gokaldas Exports.
