GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Q3 net up 25 pc at Rs 128.55 cr
GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd today reported 24.76 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 128.55 crore for the third quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 103.03 crore during the corresponding period of previous year.
GlaxoSmithkline follows calender year January-December. Net sales of the company rose to Rs 827.54 crore for the third quarter, as against Rs 720.07 crore during the same period of 2011-12 fiscal, GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) said in a statement.
Commenting on the results GSKCH Managing Director Zubair Ahmed said: "The strong results in the third quarter are backed by innovation and strong leveraging of science that has helped us come up with a winning proposition on our flagship brand Horlicks".
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 3,050 on the BSE, up 0.92 per cent from their previous close.
