Geodesic net rises 49% to Rs 85.25 cr in Q2

MUMBAI: Internet and mobile solutions provider Geodesic today said its consolidated net profit grew over 49 per cent to Rs 85.25 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The group had a net profit of Rs 57.03 crore in the September quarter last fiscal, Geodesic Ltd said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Consolidated total income of the group rose to Rs 212.76 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 154.40 crore during the same period previous year, it said.
A dividend of Re 1 per share has already been paid on October 20 after it was approved by the shareholders at its annual general meeting held on September 28, it said.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 125.35, up 3.21 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
