Exports stood at Rs 13,000 crore in 2012-13, growing by 8% from the previous year. But this year the exporters are expecting double digit growth. We may achieve 10 to 12 % increase in exports in the current year,'' Sakthivel said.
He welcomed the Centres' decision to increase the rupee export credit interest rate subvention from 2 to 3% from August 1 and to clear all pending claims.
