GAIL Q3 results: Profit rises 13% to Rs 2,030 crore; firm announces Rs 6.40 dividend

NEW DELHI: GAIL on Monday posted 12.93 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit at Rs 2,029.51 crore for the quarter ended December 31. The gas major had posted a profit of Rs 1,797.04 crore in the same period last year.

Consolidated revenue, however, declined 11.52 per cent to Rs 17,898.16 crore during the quarter under review.

The board also declared an interim dividend of Rs 6.40 per share on face value of Rs 10 each, amounting to Rs 2,886.49 crore.


On a standalone basis, profit of the company slipped 25.61 per cent to Rs 1,250.65 crore. Revenue also declined 10.21 per cent to Rs 17,768 crore.

Standalone earnings per share declined to Rs 2.77 from Rs 3.73 last year.

The shares of the company closed 0.98 per cent lower at Rs 121.80 on BSE.
