Fortis Malar Hospitals Q1 net profit at Rs 1.11 crore
Fortis Malar Hospitals reported a net profit of Rs 1.11 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 63.38 lakh in the same period last financial year, Fortis Malar Hospitals said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE).
The company net income from operations rose to Rs 22.01 crore for the June quarter, compared to Rs 18.82 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
Commenting on the results Fortis Malar Hospitals Chairman Aditya Vij said: "The company continues to maintain its growth momentum which is result of various medical programmes launched and investments made in the past."
Fortis Malar Hospitals is a subsidiary of Fortis Healthcare (India) and has a network of 62 hospitals and a capacity of 9,700 beds.
Shares of Fortis Malar Hospitals today closed at Rs 37.25 on BSE, up 3.76 per cent from its previous close.
