Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Q3 net loss at Rs 79.81 cr
Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore (FACT) today reported a net loss of Rs 79.81 core during the third quarter ended December, 2012 owing to poor sales.

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore ( FACT) today reported a net loss of Rs 79.81 core during the third quarter ended December, 2012 owing to poor sales.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.79 crore in the year-ago period.
The losses were incurred as the company's net sales declined by 22 per cent to Rs 676.72 crore during the quarter ended December 31, last year, from Rs 869.30 crore in the same quarter last year, the FACT said in a BSE filing.
FACT, a public sector undertaking, manufactures urea and complex fertilisers. It also produces petrochemicals and provides engineering solutions for establishing petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, refining plants.
Shares of the company today fell by 1.72 per cent to settle at Rs 28.50 apiece from their previous close at the BSE.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.79 crore in the year-ago period.
