The net profit is attributable to the owners of the parent company. Revenue from operations surged 182% YoY to Rs 20,211 crore from Rs 7,167 crore in the year-ago period, driven by strong growth across its businesses, the company said in a regulatory filing.
On a sequential basis, net profit declined 47% from Rs 174 crore reported in the previous quarter. Revenue from operations, on the other hand, rose 17% from Rs 17,292 crore, the company's exchange filing showed.
Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter under review stood at Rs 555 crore, sharply higher than Rs 172 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Eternal Q1 segment-wise performance
Food Delivery (Zomato):
NOV growth accelerated to over 20% YoY to Rs 10,769 crore, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of growth.
Blinkit: NOV grew 86% YoY to Rs 17,132 crore, with sequential growth of 19%. The company added 200 net new stores during the quarter, taking the total store count to 2,443. Adjusted EBITDA improved for the fifth consecutive quarter to 0.6% of NOV, resulting in an adjusted EBITDA of Rs 102 crore, compared with a loss of Rs 162 crore in the year-ago period.
Going-out (District): NOV growth accelerated 60% YoY and 18% QoQ to Rs 3,218 crore. The adjusted EBITDA margin improved to -2% of NOV from -2.7% in the year-ago period, resulting in a loss of Rs 65 crore.
Hyperpure: Revenue grew 27% YoY on a like-for-like basis and 6% QoQ to Rs 1,034 crore. Adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 0.6% from -0.8% a year earlier, resulting in a profit of Rs 6 crore compared with a loss of Rs 18 crore in the year-ago period.
Following the earnings release, Eternal shares pared all losses to end 1% higher at Rs 289.55 on the BSE.
