EIH Q3 net profit up 59.38% at Rs 45.25 crore

NEW DELHI: Hospitality firm EIH, that operates hotels and resorts under Oberoi and Trident brands, has reported 59.38 per cent increase in net profit for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 at Rs 45.25 crore on account of lower interest payment.
The company's net profit during the three months ended December 31, 2010, was Rs 28.39, it said in a filing to the BSE.
EIH Ltd's net sales for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 increased 4.49 per cent to Rs 294.54 crore, against Rs 281.86 crore.
During the quarter under review EIH's interest outgo was Rs 11.63 crore compared to Rs 40.29 crore during the third quarter of last fiscal.
The company's scrips closed at Rs 89.70 per share, up 1.01 per cent compared to the previous close on BSE.
