EIH Ltd posts Rs 18.3 crore net loss in second quarter of FY13

NEW DELHI: EIH Ltd, which runs luxury hotels under the Oberoi and Trident brands, today reported a net loss of Rs 18.3 crore for the second quarter of FY13 compared to a net profit of Rs 16.59 crore a year ago. Total income for the quarter stood at Rs 231.07 crore, down from Rs 234.57 crore.

The company also reported a net loss of Rs 8.85 crore for the six months ended September 30, 2012, compared to a net profit of Rs 32.04 crore a year ago. The company income for the six months period was Rs 472.57 crore, down from Rs 480.59 crore.

In the last quarter, the company's profits had dropped 38.83% to Rs 9.45 crore on the back of declining sales.
