EIH Ltd posts net profit of Rs 15.45 crore in Q1

NEW DELHI: Hospitality firm EIH Ltd that operates the Oberoi and Trident brands of hotels and resorts today posted a net profit of Rs 15.45 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011 on the back of robust sales.

For the three months ended June 30, 2010, the company had posted a net loss of Rs 15.93 crore.

For the quarter under review EIH Ltd's net sales increased 21.99 per cent to Rs 227.33 crore as against Rs 186.35 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2010, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).

The company's scrips closed at Rs 84.60, down 3.37 per cent compared to the previous close on the BSE.
