EaseMyTrip’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) for the third quarter improved to Rs 59 crore, led by a healthy top-line growth and a persistent focus on operational efficiency.
The company has reported the highest-ever gross booking revenue (GBR) of Rs 2,267 crore for the third quarter, driven by strong volume growth in the flight and hotels segment.
Following the results announcement , the stock surged 4.85% at Rs 53 apiece on NSE.
Segment-wise, Air booking business grew by 31% YoY, while hotel nights booking reported a jump of 88% YoY. The company added 4.3 lakh customers during the quarter bringing the aggregate number to 1.38 crore.
The sturdy growth in air and hotel bookings resulted from the strong seasonal push, and vigorous festive spending and was backed by a multitude of market strategies deployed across each segment.
EaseMyTrip said its focus on the expansion strategy has led to its Dubai subsidiary business thriving, after its inception in April 2022. The Dubai business reported solid growth and clocked a cumulative gross booking revenue of Rs 75 crore during the nine months period ended December 2022.
Further, the company said it signed an exclusive general sales agreement (GSA) with Go First airlines (erstwhile Go Air) to sell, promote, and market passenger tickets and other services in Saudi Arabia for at least three years.
