DSCL clocks net profit of Rs 60.75 cr in Q3
Agri-input major DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL) today posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 60.75 crore for the third quarter of this fiscal.
DSCL, which is engaged in manufacturing of seeds, sugar and fertilisers, had posted a net loss of Rs 25.20 crore in the year-ago period.
However, the net income from operations declined to Rs 1342.80 crore during the quarter ended December 31, last year, from Rs 1405.76 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE).
Net sales from fertilisers, farm solutions and cements remained lower during the period under the review, but revenue from sugar and chloro-vinyl businesses showed a marked increase.
While the income from the sugar segment increased to Rs 350.83 crore from Rs 234.10 crore, revenue from chloro-vinyl business rose to Rs 300.35 crore from Rs 255.95 crore during the review period.
DSCL is an integrated business group with interests in fertilisers, bioseeds, chloro-vinyl and sugar.
The shares of the company fell by 2.10 per cent to settle at Rs 65.15 on the BSE platform today.
