Dishergarh Power Supply Company reports 4.17% rise in net profit
Net sales stood at Rs. 152.64 crore, registering a growth of 55 %, as compared to Rs 98.20 crore in the same period last year.
Net sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 stood at Rs. 152.64 crore, registering a growth of 55 %, as compared to Rs 98.20 crore in the same period last year.
EBITA for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 registered a growth of 30 % at Rs. 6.81 crore against Rs. 5.25 crore in previous corresponding period.
Earnings per Share for the period worked out to Rs 8.89 as compared to Rs 8.56 for the same period of last fiscal. It generated 26.53 million units, while it sourced about 234 million number of units were sourced
The average transmission and distribution loss for the company in the quarter was 3.40%.

In the T&D space, the company has a license for supply of electricity in and around Asansol-Ranigunj area spread over 700 sq. km. with a combined distribution capacity of 230 MVA. DPSC serves more than 500 consumers’ power needs in this area. The company has strong distribution network with T&D loss of only 3% against country average of 25%.
