Direct-to-home firm Dish TV India on Tuesday reported a widening of consolidated net loss to Rs 286.3 crore for the June quarter of FY'27, on account of a decline in subscription revenue, among other factors.

The company had reported a net loss of Rs 94.53 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, Dish TV said in a regulatory filing.

Dish TV's revenue from operations was down 19.28 per cent to Rs 265.83 crore in the June quarter of FY27. It was at Rs 329.36 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.


Dish TV's total expenses were Rs 557.76 crore, up 31 per cent in the first quarter of FY'27.

"During the quarter, we focused on enhancing customer experience through initiatives such as 'Always-On', expanding our regional offerings and reinforcing subscriber engagement, while simultaneously scaling the VZY ecosystem to address the evolving entertainment preferences of consumers," CEO Manoj Dobhal said.

VZY is an integrated connected entertainment ecosystem launched by Dish TV India to unify live television, over 29 streaming apps, and smart hardware into a single interface.

In the June quarter, Dish TV's subscription revenues were at Rs 161.3 crore, down 40.9 per cent. It contributed 60.7 per cent of Dish TV's revenue in the first quarter of FY27.

Similarly, its operating revenue was down 19.3 per cent to Rs 265.8 crore. Dish TV's operating revenues include subscription revenues, marketing and promotional fees, advertisement income and other income.

In this, marketing and promotional fees were down 19.6 per cent to Rs 26.1 crore. However, advertisement income was up 4.8 per cent to Rs 4.6 crore.

The total income of Dish TV, which includes all incomes, was Rs 271.46 crore in the June quarter, down 19.7 per cent year-on-year.

Shares of Dish TV India Ltd on Tuesday settled at Rs 2.83 on BSE, down 1.39 per cent from the previous close.
