Dhunseri Petrochem and Tea posts Q4 PAT at Rs 25.08 crore

MUMBAI: Dhunseri Petrochem and Tea today reported more than two-fold increase in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 25.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.

The PAT for the year-ago period stood at Rs 10.83 crore, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The total standalone income for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011, rose by 74 per cent to Rs 544.34 crore compared to Rs 312.82 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Dhunseri's total standalone net PAT for the 2010-11 fiscal rose by 43 per cent to Rs 127.30 crore as against Rs 89.05 crore in the previous fiscal.

The total standalone income of the company rose by 44 per cent to Rs 1,658.24 crore as compared to Rs 1,153.05 crore in the period under review.

The Kolkata headquartered company has interests in tea, petro-chemicals and information technology ( IT) sector.

Shares of the company today closed at Rs 156.15, which is down by 0.83 per cent from its previous close at the BSE.
