Dhanuka Agritech Q2 net profit up at Rs 23.69 cr

NEW DELHI: Agro-chemicals, fertilisers and seeds manufacturer Dhanuka Agritech today reported a 13 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 23.69 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 20.97 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the BSE.

The net sales of the company rose to Rs 204.35 crore in the second quarter this fiscal from Rs 193.94 crore in the same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal.

The company is engaged in the manufacturing of a range of pesticides and fertilisers and has four pesticides manufacturing units located at Gurgaon and Sohna (Haryana), Sanand (Gujarat) and Udhampur (J&K).

Shares of the company today rose by 4.73 per cent to settle at Rs 128.50 apiece on the BSE.
