Cummins India reports Q4 net profit of Rs 118 cr

MUMBAI: Engine manufacturer, Cummins India today reported a net profit of Rs 118.31 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31.

The company had a net profit of Rs 118.17 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Cummins India Ltd said in filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

It added that the results of the two quarters are not comparable because of the amalgamation of Cummins Sales and Service India Ltd, and Cummins Auto Services Ltd with the company, effective retrospectively from April 1, 2008.

For the 2009-10 fiscal, Cummins India reported a net profit of Rs 443.87 crore. It had a net profit of Rs 433.66 crore during the previous fiscal, the statement said.

The company registered a total income of Rs 2,899.03 crore during the last fiscal. Cummins India had a total income of Rs 3,304.28 crore during 2008-09, it added.
