CONCOR Q2 standalone net profit drops 32% at Rs 158 crore

NEW DELHI: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) today reported a 31.87 percent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 157.84 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The multi-modal logistics company under the government had reported a net profit of Rs 231.69 crore for the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

The company said its total income from operations declined to Rs 1,378.61 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 1,501.79 crore during the year-ago period.


Its total expenses during the second quarter stood at Rs 1,237.13 crore, as against Rs 1,276.13 crore in July-September quarter of the previous fiscal.

CONCOR was set up in 1988 and provides cost-effective logistics services.

It has a network of 63 terminals, offering scheduled and on demand rapid rail and road services between the hinterland and ports and between terminals across the country.
