Coke India posts 20% volumes growth in Q4

Beverage maker Coca-Cola said its India arm posted volume growth of 20% in the October-December quarter.

NEW DELHI: Beverage maker Coca-Cola said its India arm posted volume growth of 20% in the October-December quarter, driven by its Diwali festival activation and integrated marketing programs like Coke Studio.

The firm said in a statement that its volumes grew 22% in sparkling beverages in the quarter. The Atlanta-based firm reported worldwide volume growth of 3% in the quarter.

"Volume growth for the full year was well-balanced, with double-digit growth in key emerging markets like India and China," the firm said in a statement. The maker of Thums Up cola, Fanta orange drink and Minute Maid juices said this was its 22nd consecutive quarter of growth.
