Chambal Fertilisers Q3 net profit down 6% to Rs 90.28 crorepti

NEW DELHI: Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd today reported 6 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 90.28 crore for its third quarter ended December 31, mainly due to higher finance cost.

The company had posted net profit of Rs 96.07 crore in the October-December period of 2012-13 financial year.

Total income from operations, however, rose by 13 per cent to Rs 2,359.88 crore during the third quarter, 2013-14, from Rs 2,089.22 crore in Q3 of the previous fiscal.

Finance cost in Q3 increased to Rs 59.34 crore, from Rs 28.12 crore in the year-ago period.
