Cera Sanitaryware Q1 net up 21.91 per cent at Rs 13.63 crore

NEW DELHI: Bathroom products maker Cera Sanitaryware today reported 21.91 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 13.63 crore for the first quarter ending June 30, 2014.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 11.18 crore during the same quarter a year ago, Cera Sanitaryware said in a BSE filing.

Cera Sanitaryware's net sales in the quarter under review went up by 28.24 per cent at Rs 162.33 crore as against Rs 126.58 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Overall expenses in the quarter stood at Rs 141.53 crore, an increase of 29.27 per cent compared with Rs 109.48 crore in the same period a year ago.

Shares of Cera Sanitaryware were trading at Rs 1,208 apiece in the afternoon trade, down 5.01 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
