Century Textiles Q1 net dips 76.20 pc to Rs 23.90 crore

NEW DELHI: Century Textiles & Industries today said its net profit declined by 76.20 per cent year-on- year to Rs 23.90 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.43 crore for the same period last fiscal, Century Textiles said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the company stood at Rs 1,178.61 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, compared to Rs 1,132.39 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Century Textiles & Industries were being quoted at Rs 307.50 apiece on the BSE in late afternoon trade today, down 0.52 per cent from their previous close.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.43 crore for the same period last fiscal, Century Textiles said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
