Century Plyboards Jun qtr net loss widens to Rs 4.20 cr

NEW DELHI: Century Plyboards today said net loss widened to Rs 4.20 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against a net loss of Rs 3.14 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal.

Century Plyboards' net sales stood at Rs 282.26 crore in the quarter under review, an increase of 3.65 per cent compared to Rs 272.31 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, the company said in a filing with BSE.

Revenues from plywood and allied products grew marginally by 1.41 per cent at Rs 203.49 crore while that from laminate and allied products grew by 15.92 per cent at Rs 58.31 crore.

Overall expenses of the company were at Rs 282.16 crore in the quarter, up 5.54 per cent as against Rs 267.34 crore in the same quarter last year.

Shares of Century Plyboards closed at Rs 32.85 apiece at the end of day's trade, down 4.92 per cent from previous close.
