Ceat reports 5.5% rise in net profit at Rs 101.82 crore

NEW DELHI: Ceat on Monday reported a 5.5% increase in standalone net profit at Rs 101.82 crore for the second quarter ended Sep 30,2016. The company had posted net profit of Rs 96.49 crore in the corresponding period of the last financial year.

Total income from operations in the quarter under review rose 4.5% to Rs 1582.65 crore. "In this quarter, CEAT's overall sales volume grew by over 13% on a YoY basis. This was led by double-digit growth in both domestic and exports segments aided largely by our focus on the passenger segments", said Anant Goenka, Managing Director, CEAT Ltd.
