CCL PBT increases 21% to Rs 1,860.22 cr
The Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has registered a 21 per cent increase in profit before tax in 2010-11 financial year, a CCL release said.
The recently audited figure for the last fiscal showed CCL earned a PBT (profit before tax) of Rs 1,860.22 crore, compared to Rs 1,533.1 crore earned in 2009-10.
In 2010-11, the company paid Rs 1,703.83 crore to the government exchequer including Rs 613.28 crore as royalty to Jharkhand, while in the last fiscal CCL's contribution to the government exchequer was of Rs 1,465.89 crore, including Rs 583.36 crore as royalty to Jharkhand, the release said.
The production of raw coal was 47.52 million tonnes (MT) in 2010-11, registering one per cent growth compared to the 2009-10 figure of 47.08 MT.
Coal dispatch was 46.23 MT and 44.29 MT in 2010-11 and 2009-10 respectively, the release said.
The over burden removal (OBR) was 62.52 Million Cubic Meter (MCM) in 2010-11, compared to 56.05 MCM in the previous fiscal, it said.
