Castrol March quarter net up 53.60 pc to Rs 117.2 cr

Lubricant maker Castrol India today said its net profit rose by 53.60 per cent to Rs 117.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

MUMBAI: Lubricant maker Castrol India today said its net profit rose by 53.60 per cent to Rs 117.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31.

Total income rose to Rs 856 crore for the March quarter against Rs 508.7 crore for the same period previous fiscal, Castrol said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company had a net profit of Rs 381.1 crore for the year ended December 31, 2009, it said.

Shares of Castrol were trading at Rs 378.50 on BSE, up 2.94 per cent from its previous close.
