Cadila Healthcare Q4 net zooms by 50.69 pc to Rs 178.97 cr
Cadila Healthcare today said its consolidated net profit rose by 50.69 per cent to Rs 178.97 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011.
It had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 118.76 crore in the same period last fiscal, Cadila Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's total income for the fourth quarter rose to Rs 1,212.91 crore as against Rs 846.57 crore for the corresponding period of previous financial year.
The company's net profit for the year ended March 31, 2011 stood at Rs 711 crore compared to Rs 505.14 crore in the previous fiscal.
Total income of the company for the year ended March 31, 2011 stood at Rs 4,630.19 crore compared to Rs 3,686.85 crore during 2009-10.
The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held today recommended a dividend of Rs 6.25 per equity share on 204,748,520 equity shares of Rs 5 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2011, Cadila said.
During the quarter, the company also entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Bayer Healthcare to set up Bayer Zydus Pharma for sale and marketing of pharmaceutical products in India.
The company also incorporated Zydus Lanka Private Ltd as a wholly owned subsidiary of the company in Sri Lanka, Cadila said.
Shares of Cadila Healthcare today closed at Rs 875.65 on BSE, up 3.04 per cent from its previous close.
