Bata net soars 41% to Rs 26 crore
Bata India has clocked a 40.7% increase in its net profit in the Q2 of calendar 2010. The net profit jumped to Rs 25.9 crore from Rs 18.4 crore in Q2 of CY09.
The company’s profit before tax in the Q2 of CY10 has grown by 46% to rs 39.7 crore against Rs 27.2 crore in the year ago period. Announcing the results, Mr Marcelo Villagran, MD of Bata India said, “We have delivered our best ever results this quarter with the highest growth in our bottomline. This increased profitability is the result of improved sales and margins from our shoe line.”
For the half year period ending June 30, 2010, the company’s PBT grew by 40% at Rs 60.7 crore as against Rs 43.4 crore in the year ago period.
The net sales of the company grew by 12.5% to Rs 609.2 crore against Rs 541.7 crore in the year ago period.
