NEW DELHI: Sugar manufacturer Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd on Saturday posted a loss of Rs 78.34 crore for the fourth quarter ended September 30.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 42.73 crore in the corresponding period last year, Balrampur Chini Mills said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange.
Its financial year ends on September 30. In terms of the total income, the company's revenue for July-September quarter of the current fiscal increased by over 54.84 per cent to Rs 567.16 crore as against Rs 331.15 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
On yearly basis, its net profit stood at Rs 28.27 crore as compared to Rs 226.51 crore in the previous fiscal. Its total income increased by 36.07 per cent to Rs 1,850.30 crore during the financial year, as against Rs 1,359.81 crore in the corresponding period an year ago.
