Bajaj FinServ Q2 net up two-fold

Bajaj FinServ, the financial services arm of the Bajaj Group, today reported over two-fold rise in net profit to 158 crore.

MUMBAI: Bajaj FinServ, the financial services arm of the Bajaj Group, today reported over two-fold rise in net profit to 158 crore in the September quarter, on the back of sound rise in income from the insurance businesses among others.

The company's net profit during the July-September period last year was 69 crore. Total income in the second quarter rose 52 % to 714 crore, from 471 crore in the year-ago period. It was driven largely by life and general insurance businesses, while operating profit increased by around 96% to 486 crore against 248 crore in the same period last year.
